GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MICHIGAN (MAY 4, 2015) — Dabble in the Farms, a craft tasting event presented by Parkway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, returns to The Hill (41 Kercheval) in Grosse Pointe Farms on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The affair features dozens of breweries, wineries, and spirit selections along with several of metro Detroit’s top-rated food trucks, and performances by national recording artists.
“Dabble in the Farms is a celebration of the tastes of the season and a warm welcome to summer after a long Michigan winter,” said organizer Joe Choma, owner of Grand Circus Media, a producer of the event. “Dabble provides us an opportunity to showcase the charming beauty and community of the Pointes, drawing some much-deserved attention to new development underway on the Eastside.”
Portland, Oregon-based FRUITION will headline, with local crooner Dan Tillery opening the evening. FRUITION, who will be performing at Bonnaroo just days after Dabble in the Farms, is known for blending elements of americana, rock, and bluegrass.
Now in its fourth year, Dabble in the Farms has raised just over $20,000 for local nonprofits and community organizations. The May 30th event aims to help raise awareness and support for Camp Casey, a nonprofit horseback riding program for kids with cancer and their families.
“Hosting this event not only lets us showcase metro Detroit’s outstanding food and drinks, and great live music, but it also gives us an opportunity to highlight and help out Camp Casey, an exceptional local organization with a heartwarming mission,” said organizer Jason Dritsan, owner of Liquid Events Detroit, a producer of the event.
Tickets, which include 15 beverage samples, are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Designated driver tickets are available for $15. Doors open at 6 p.m. and all guests must be 21 or older with valid photo ID.
